On Saturday we went to a quintessential Portland event...the Adult Soap Box Derby. This annual event turns Portland's Mt. Tabor Park into a Soap Box race course and giant beer garden. Forty-two teams competed through multiple heats to determine the 2008 champion. Basically, the competitors fall into two categories: speedsters and jokesters. I think you can tell the difference...

We heard that the wrestling ring crashed and someone was thrown from the ring. Not kidding.
Optimus Prime also crashed.
My personal favorite (and worst picture)...a picnic bench with 4 guys, full dinner and 1 driver underneath.
